The Unlimited Pass is the standard Cape Town City Pass: entry to more than 80 attractions, the hop-on hop-off bus for the whole period and skip-the-line at selected sites. You only pick the length. One day suits a stopover, two days a weekend, three days a classic city break, and five days leave room for wine estates in Constantia and Stellenbosch.
If you also want a helicopter flight, a shark cage dive or a safari, look at the Premium Pass instead.

Table Mountain Cableway: the pass is accepted directly at the Cableway ticket counter. A few travellers have reported confusion on site. If a staff member asks you to exchange your voucher first, refer them to the Cape Town City Pass acceptance policy at the Cableway. It closes once a year for maintenance (2027 dates are announced in May); no closure is planned for the summer, but wind can stop it at any time.

Yes. A 3-day pass activated on Tuesday is valid Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; you cannot skip a day in between. The countdown starts at your first scan, not at purchase.

A few Cape Town classics are not part of the City Pass. These tours and tickets close the gaps; you book them separately on GetYourGuide.
Nelson Mandela’s prison island is not part of the pass. Ferries leave from the V&A Waterfront, close to Stop 1 of the bus, and sell out early in summer.
