Verified reviews from travellers who chose the Premium Pass on GetYourGuide.
„Buying a 5 day City Pass showed me most of Cape Town and gained me entry to Table Mountain, museums and other attractions, saving money and time buying tickets and waiting in line. To me buying a pass is a no-brainer."
„A safe, easy and efficient way of seeing Cape Town at a fraction of the cost of other tourist tours. The buses are clean and well maintained and they provide earphones for a very informative recorded guide."
„Excellent value on the 5 day pass — around £90 including 5 days HOHO. In 5 days the equivalent would have cost us over £200."
You pick your premium experience during checkout on the official Cape Town City Pass site. Some experiences require a separate reservation step after purchase — the operator emails the booking link with your pass voucher.
Weather-dependent experiences (helicopter, paragliding, shark cage dive, whale watching) are rescheduled when the operator cancels. Within the validity of your pass you can usually pick an alternative date or experience — confirm with the operator.
Some experiences include hotel pickup and drop-off (often the safari and the more remote tours). Check the operator's page during booking — it's listed per experience.
The operator sends you a booking link with your voucher email. Reserve as early as you reasonably can — especially in peak season (November to February) and for the most popular picks like the helicopter flight and shark cage dive. Capacities aren't published, so the safer rule is "book the moment you have your trip dates".
No — each Premium Pass includes exactly one premium experience. If you want a second, you can buy it separately on site or take a second Premium Pass.
Shark cage dive (Gansbaai), safari (Aquila) and whale watching (Gansbaai) involve 2–3 hours of driving each way — best treated as a full-day commitment. Helicopter, paragliding and the sidecar tour stay in or near the city.
Everything in the Unlimited Pass plus one premium experience of your choice — and 12 months from purchase to use it.
